Advanced eMAR connection improves medication oversight and safety.

East Troy, WI – ECP announced today that their electronic medication administration record (eMAR) platform has received approval from the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy to connect to pharmacies within the state. ECP is the leading provider of web-based clinical, business, and compliance software to over 2,000 assisted living communities and other long-term care providers.

ECP’s eMAR platform allows assisted living and other long-term care communities to connect electronically to pharmacies to directly share medication information, improving safety and efficiency. Electronic sharing of medication information also improves medication oversight and reduces the possibility of med errors.

“We're excited to provide the most advanced, safety-driven, pharmacy-integrated eMAR system to the state of Arkansas. Electronic pharmacy integration, along with the educational tools and automation that ECP provides, will significantly benefit Arkansas' assisted living communities, pharmacies, and, most importantly, residents.” said James Baumeister, Director of Pharmacy Systems at ECP.

ECP’s core clinical products include eMAR and electronic health records (EHR) used in assisted living communities, group homes, and intellectually and developmentally disabled care settings across the country and globally. ECP is connected to over 500 LTC pharmacies across the country and interfaces with all major pharmacy management software. Electronically interfacing pharmacy and long-term-care community systems eliminates the need for redundant data entry, promoting safe medication administration.

Among others, ECP currently connects to the following pharmacy management systems: Computer-Rx / WinRx, Pharmaserv by McKesson, QuickSCRIP / QuickRX by Cost Effective, DigitalRX, Pharmerica, RNA Helix, FrameworkLTC by SoftWriters, PioneerRx, Rx30 Pharmacy Management System, GuardianRX by Guardian Pharmacy, PrimeRx by Micro Merchant Systems, SRS Pharmacy Systems, OmnicareDX, PROscript 2000 LTC by Prodigy Data Systems, Inc., SuiteRx, Omnicare Oasis, and QS/1 PrimeCare.

Extended Care Professional (ECP) is an EHR (electronic health record), eMAR (electronic medication administration record), and clinical charting system for long-term care communities. ECP offers customizable assessments that automatically create care plans, State-specific compliance and reporting, and a leading pharmacy interface connected to the top pharmacy software systems. You’ll experience improved productivity, level of care and compliance as soon as you start using ECP, whether you are switching from another software provider or paper documentation.
